Terms of Service
Effective May 18, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Coveron (the "Service"), an AI-powered insurance advisor available at coveron.ai. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Coveron does
Coveron is an AI conversational assistant that helps you understand your insurance needs and compare term life insurance options across multiple carriers. The AI:
- Asks about your life situation (age, family, income, debts, existing coverage).
- Calculates your family's coverage gap using a transparent formula.
- Surfaces relevant term life insurance options across multiple A-rated carriers.
- Explains why certain options may fit your specific situation.
- Saves your conversation so you can return to it later.
A licensed insurance producer reviews and approves any application that is ultimately submitted through Coveron. The AI does not bind policies on its own.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use the Service. The Service is currently available in states where Coveron is licensed (or, in its pre-launch phase, accepts waitlist signups from all US states).
By using the Service, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.
3. Accounts and authentication
Coveron does not require a username or password. You may use the Service anonymously. For certain features (saving your coverage report, locking a rate, accessing your conversation across devices), we use phone-number authentication via SMS one-time passcode ("OTP").
You are responsible for the security of the phone number used for OTP. Notify us immediately at security@coveron.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. The Service is free to you
You will never be charged by Coveron to use the AI or to compare quotes. Coveron is compensated by insurance carriers on a commission basis if you ultimately bind a policy through a carrier we present. The premium you pay is set by the carrier — buying the same policy through Coveron, through an agent, or directly from the carrier costs the same.
Commission parity across carriers means we have no financial incentive to steer you toward one carrier over another.
5. AI recommendations and limitations
The AI provides educational information and option comparisons to help you make an informed decision. The AI:
- Does not make binding recommendations on its own. Any recommendation surfaced is reviewed by a licensed insurance producer before action.
- Does not provide tax, legal, or medical advice. Consult appropriate professionals for those topics.
- Does not guarantee approval by any carrier. Underwriting decisions belong to the carrier.
- Can make mistakes. All carrier-specific facts (rates, underwriting rules, product features) come from verified data sources, but the AI's conversational responses may occasionally include errors. Verify anything that informs a binding decision with the carrier's policy documents or with our licensed producer.
The Service is not a substitute for professional financial planning or independent insurance advice. Read carrier policy documents before purchasing.
6. Quote accuracy
Quotes shown in the Service are sourced from a real-time quote comparison API (COMPULIFE) or from our internally maintained carrier database. Quotes are estimates based on the profile information you provide. Final premiums are determined by the carrier's underwriting and may differ from the quote shown, particularly if your stated health class differs from what the carrier's underwriter assigns.
If a carrier feed is temporarily unavailable, Coveron may show approximate rates from a calibrated fallback. The AI will tell you when this is happening.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information about yourself or anyone else.
- Use the Service on behalf of a third party without their knowledge and consent.
- Attempt to access another user's conversation, account, or data.
- Scrape, probe, reverse-engineer, or otherwise interfere with the Service.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited messages, spam, or abuse.
- Provide phone numbers you do not own or do not have permission to use.
Coveron reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms or whose activity is harmful to the Service or other users.
8. SMS communications
By providing your phone number and consenting to receive texts, you authorize Coveron to send SMS messages to that number about your active conversation, pending decisions, and policy-related updates. Message frequency, opt-out instructions, and cost information are described in our Privacy Policy.
You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of all SMS communications.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, AI conversation flows, code, content, and all related materials, is owned by Coveron and protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
You retain ownership of the information you provide. By using the Service, you grant Coveron a limited license to use that information to operate the Service and meet our legal obligations (see Privacy Policy).
10. Third-party services
The Service uses third-party providers including Anthropic (AI), Supabase (database/auth), Twilio (SMS), Upstash (rate limiting), Vercel (hosting), and COMPULIFE (quote API). Your use of the Service is subject to those providers' terms where applicable. Coveron is not responsible for outages or behavior of third-party services outside our control.
The Service may link to or interact with insurance carriers' own systems when you apply for coverage. Those carriers' terms govern their relationship with you once you submit an application to them.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
COVERON DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE AI'S RESPONSES WILL BE FREE OF ERRORS. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS IS A GUARANTEE OF INSURANCE COVERAGE OR APPROVAL.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COVERON AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF COVERON HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
COVERON'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Coveron and its affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request deletion of your data by emailing privacy@coveron.ai (see Privacy Policy for retention details).
Coveron may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, including for violations of these Terms or for reasons related to risk, compliance, or platform integrity.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and Coveron consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If you reside in a state that grants you the right to bring claims in your state of residence, this section does not waive that right.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of the page. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
